Atara Sivan - Author

Atara Sivan is professor and head of the Department of Education Studies at the Hong Kong Baptist University.

For the past 6 years she has been the associate dean for learning and teaching of the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Her research focuses on leisure education, and she has contributed to the body of knowledge through numerous journal articles, books, and presentations in international conferences worldwide.

Sivan served as a scientific consultant for the development of the first comprehensive curriculum for schools in Israel.

She is the editor-in-chief of the World Leisure Journal, president and fellow of the World Leisure Academy, and the founder and president of the World Leisure Organization–Hong Kong Chapter.
