Nancy E. Richeson - Author

Nancy E. Richeson is a professor emeritus in Recreational Therapy and Gerontology with over 40 years of professional experience. She has made significant professional contributions including serving as the editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Recreational Therapy (AJRT), the board of directors for the American Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA),  and the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC). In addition, Dr. Richeson is a fellow, distinguished in recreational therapy with the National Association of Recreational Therapy (NART). 

She has had numerous publications and presentations in the field of recreational therapy and gerontology and has received national awards from ATRA and the Association for Gerontology in Higher Education (AGHE).

She is currently enjoying her retirement by practicing what she taught for years, how to incorporate recreation and leisure into your life to create a healthy, engaged, and purposeful life.
