Neil Dougherty, Ed.D., is a professor in the Department of Exercise Science and Sport Studies at Rutgers University.
He has over 30 years of experience as a teacher, administrator, and consultant for attorneys, insurance groups, and professional organizations and is a nationally recognized speaker and author on issues related to risk management and safety in sport.
Dr. Dougherty has published eight textbooks, given more than 100 national presentations, served as president of several professional associations, and was co-editor of the Safety Notebook (AAPAR) from 1996-2006.
