Rollin B. Cooper - Author

Rollin B. Cooper received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in resource economics. After teaching economics and marketing courses at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater for six years, he joined the University of Wisconsin-Extension Recreation Resources Center in Madison.

As a recreation economist, he conducted applied research, planned and taught workshops and seminars, and counseled private and public recreation enterprise operators, specializing in the campground industry. Cooper was recognized twice by the Wisconsin Association of Campground Owners for leadership in the development of Wisconsin’s camping industry.

He has authored numerous published articles in Woodall’s Campground Management. In addition, Cooper has served as advisor to the Certified Park Operator (CPO) programs of the National Campground Owners Association.
