Ron Ramsing is a professor in the Recreation Administration program at Western Kentucky University.
He has worked for several not-for-profit, federal, and commercial organizations, all related to the parks and recreation profession.
Ramsing has over 25 years of experience in the field, and his research has most recently focused on positive youth development, organized camping and youth with type 1 diabetes, international education outcomes, leadership, and sustainability issues.
Ramsing has over 45 publications and more than 100 presentations at the state, national, and international levels.
He received an undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon, an MS from the University of Northern Iowa, and a PhD from the University of Utah.
In his spare time, Ramsing enjoys hiking, camping, and traveling with his daughter, Ellie, and wife, Lisa.
