Learning Disabilities: A Multidisciplinary Journal (LDMJ) is an official publication of the Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA).The journal is a vehicle for disseminating the most current thinking on learning disabilities and to provide information on research, practice, theory, issues, and trends regarding learning disabilities from the perspectives of varied disciplines involved in broadening the understanding of learning disabilities for both children and adults. LDA and LDMJ are committed to the study of learning disabilities through all stages of life. The disciplines represented in the journal include, but are not limited to, the following:
- advocacy, law, public policy;
- assessment, research, technology, science, and trends;
- early childhood education;
- higher and adult education;
- vocational and career education;
- cultural differences;
- public and private education;
- family dynamics; and
- mental health, social and emotional issues, and social work.
Since 1963, LDA has provided support to people with learning disabilities and their parents, teachers, and other professionals with cutting-edge information on learning disabilities, practical solutions, and a comprehensive network of resources. These services make LDA the leading resource for information on learning disabilities.
